A theoretical critique of Australian education policy and initiatives toward Students with intellectual disability in terms of inclusive schools.
Project title: A theoretical critique of Australian education policy and initiatives toward Students with intellectual disability in terms of inclusive schools.

3- Problem Statement
The research paper will critique the Australian educational policy and initiatives that are adopted towards students with intellectual disability with regards to inclusive schools. An exploration of the existing benefits and cited challenges is done in order to bring out influence that the implemented system has had on the educational system in the country. Use of relevant scholarly articles will be applied to provide the necessary and relevant information to support the aspects that are being explored.

4- Research Objective
The purpose of this research project is to consider the policies and initiatives of the Australian education towards students with intellectual disability in order to incorporate them in mainstream schools. Also, the response of this research project will be:
1. An overview of Philosophy of Inclusive schools in Australia
2. An overview of teaching the students with disabilities in Australia.
3. An overview of Australian education policy and initiatives toward the students with disabilities in terms of inclusive schools.

The research strategy mainly will be Analytical. This analysis will include an analysis of Australian education policy and initiatives toward students with intellectual disability in terms of inclusive schools within the theoretical frameworks of:
– Social cultural theory of inclusive schools
– Policy, practice in special education and educational theory

9- Description of Proposed Outcomes
– An outline and understanding of Australian education policy and initiatives towards the students with intellectual disability in terms of inclusive schools and their rights.
– An outline of the importance of incorporations students with disabilities in inclusive schools in order to develop their skills.
– An outline of how the theoretical framework of socio-cultural theory may help in order to address the needs of students as well as the teachers in inclusive schools.
