You are an aspiring politician and have applied for a Washington D. C. political internship. You just completed your first interview, and you feel as though you did a good job. The interviewers must have thought so, too; you have been invited to come back for a second interview, during which you will be asked to give a 7–10 slide PowerPoint presentation on a political leader you admire. A political leader by definition is anyone who has been elected to a political office and thus influences policy. To complete this assignment, you will need to conduct outside research on the political leader of your choice and submit a 7–10 content slide PowerPoint presentation. Your presentation should include the following information/answer the following questions: Why do you admire this political leader? What has this person accomplished? How did this person accomplish this success/these successes/what were the steps that the leader took? Why did you choose this person? What did you learn from the person /how will it help YOU to be more successful? Please include in your presentation two references formatted in APA style along with in-text citations. You will be graded on the following criteria: The presentation must have a title slide containing a) the title of your presentation, b) your name, and c) the date The presentation must be 7–10 content slides total. Feel free to use images/graphics, but use them sparingly—there should be more text than images on each slide. The presentation must be proofread and free of misspelled words. The presentation must free of run-on sentences, incomplete sentences, and other grammatical errors such as errors in capitalization, punctuation, etc. The presentation must have a reference slide with at least two references (at least one of which must be a book) in APA format. The presentation must contain an in-text citation for every reference used. The presentation must contain at least one 3–5 sentence paragraph describing what you’ve learned from the politician and how he or she has given you insight or information that will be useful in your career.
