The purpose of this assignment is to explore whether educational standards are developmentally appropriate. To this, you are asked to review the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Math and English Language Arts and the Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines (WAELDG), Kindergarten-3rd grade. You will then compare what you have learned in the standards with information about child development in your textbook (Rathus, 2011). Your findings will be recorded in a form to create an accurate comparison.
