Interview a district personnel director to identify a selection procedure used for teachers or for classified staff. Clarify the role of the principal in that process. Explain how the personnel director: Projects the number of teachers needed to ensure that he/she is not over-staffed or under-staffed Ensures that he/she finds people that meet the vision of the district Ensures equity and non-bias in the selection process  Recruits and finds people for hard to staff positions (such as math and special education) Handles situations when no “highly qualified”� candidates are available Describe your findings in a detailed question/answer format report. Be prepared to share your findings with the class.
