The International Organization for Standardization (ISO – http://www.iso.org/iso/home.htm) is a non-governmental international body that develops and publishes International Standards in collaboration with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC – http://www.iec.ch/) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU – http://www.itu.int/en/Pages/default.aspx) on information and communications technology standards.
